Dressing for these parties is tricky, dressing up is expected, but the environment plays havoc on your outfit. There are lots of different styles and they come in plus sizes too! Tommy Bahama has a line of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tommybahama.com\/store\/catalog\/sp_search_results.jsp\">spa dresses<\/a>&#8221; that are made of bathing suit material and come with matching swimsuit bottoms.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.trinaturk.com\/swimwear\/\">Trina Turk<\/a> makes matching cover-up pants and skirts for \u00a0her swimsuits, so you can make a real outfit from these pieces. Heather is wearing a bikini top and matching coverup pants. You could also choose a tankini or tunic top for more coverage.<\/li>\n<li>Houston&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/sameerafaridistudio.tumblr.com\">Sameera Faridi<\/a>\u00a0is designing a line of\u00a0caftans for swimsuit coverups and lounge-wear. They are so elegant you can wear them from the resort pool to yacht to restaurant. They are machine-washable and stain resistant, so lotions and oils come right out in the washing machine.<\/li>\n<li>Here is another take on the sexy dress. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.softsurroundings.com\/P\/Sarong_Swimsuit_By_Carol_Wior\/\">Soft Surrounding&#8217;s\u00a0one piece sarong swimsuit<\/a> has a built-in chiffon skirt. For swimming, the sarong gathers up into a belt for easy movement in the water.<\/li>\n<li>Neoprene is made for the water\u2026in fact it&#8217;s the material that wetsuits are made from. This year, there are lots of separates and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zappos.com\/neoprene-dress\">dresses made from neoprene<\/a>. These pretty shoes and sandals are all made of plastic, so they are perfect for parties by the water!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/shopmelissa.com\">Melissa Shoes<\/a> made the original \u201cJellies\u201d in the 1980s. Now they have evolved into pretty platforms and wedges. That\u2019s the material that wet-suits are made of, so they are fine with water. Regular makeup melts off in just a few minutes.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mascara isn\u2019t the only waterproof makeup\u2026all of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com\/esearch?form_id=perlgem_search_form&amp;search=long-wear\">Bobbi Brown makeup shown in the story is waterproof and long-wearing<\/a> &#8211; from foundations, to eye colors to liners and lipstick. I\u2019ve tried all of it in a pool\u2026and it really works.<\/li>\n<li>Long-wear makeup stays put\u2026so application is a little different. You need to use a patting\/dabbing motion like stencil-painting.
