It is super sticky and lasts for what seems like forever…supernaturally collecting all manner of stray hairs, lint and fuzz until it has turned into a weird furry patch. The adhesive is very hard to remove without scratching, abrading and damaging the underlying skin. Here’s how to remove it without damaging your delicate skin:

Step 1: before a shower, gently apply a gob of hair conditioner to the adhesive, thickly covering all the adhesive.

Step 2: During the shower, allow the conditioner to wash away on its own without rubbing.

Step 3: Some of the adhesive will dissolve in the shower, some will be left on your skin. Gently towel dry, gently dabbing the area with the adhesive.

Step 4: Gently rub the remaining adhesive with your fingers. The remaining adhesive will roll into little balls and fall off, leaving you with soft, smooth, bare skin.

If you’ve gotten a big sticky bandaid after a blood test or you’ve wear a medical device like a TENS, wearable insulin pump or IV port, you know how tough medical adhesive is!
