Great Day Houston Favorite Things 2011

This segment airs on Great Day Houston (KHOU Channel 11, Houston) on December 9 and 16, 2011. Here are all the details about the products in the segment.

Here are some of my favorite things for 2011 along with some favs of the  Great Day Houston producers!

Anastasia – Anastasia is the go-to brow and eye expert for Hollywood’s elite, like Oprah, Keidi Klum, and Penelope Cruz. She created a brow kit so you and I can have perfect brows too. Her Beauty Express Kit includes brow stencils so you can create perfect brows shaped for your face. She recently expanded her line for the whole face…with skincare, anti-aging eyeshadows, lipglosses and more. They are sold at Sephora.

Molton Brown – Molton Brown is a line of luxury, plant-based products for the home, bath and body. They are made in England, inspired by the world. You’ll see these products in luxury hotels and airlines. They are never tested on animals. Retail prices begin at $25, available at Saks Fifth Avenue and Kuhl Linscom.

La Prairie White Caviar Set – This is my favorite product for 2011!
Age spots and hyperpigmentation are really tough to fight. Ordinarily, it takes multiple expensive spa treatments to get results. This is the best over-the-counter product I’ve found to fight them. It brightens the surface skin to lighten spots that have already formed and calms the deeper skin layers to keep new spots from forming. Many other skin lightening products contain hydroquinone –an ingredient that is reported to cause birth defects. This system doesn’t contain that ingredient. It is pricy, but still less expensive that spa treatments. Retail $950 for the set at Nieman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue and shop.laprairie.com,

Archos 7o Internet Tablet – This tablet has a 7-inch touch screen and runs on an Android 2.2 Platform. Connect with Bluetooth, WiFi or HDMI. Retail: $240,

Vizio VSD210 High Definition Audio Dock – Charge your iPad, iPhone or iPod or listen to music without headphones. The dock has 2.1 channel sound with an easy to use remote and built in subwoofer. Retail $100

Biscotti TV Phone – Turns your HDTV into a video conferencing center. You don’t need a computer or phone line. All you need is Wi-Fi. You use one Biscotti and send the other one to the person you want to talk to…and voila! You can talk face to face without being in the same place! Retail: $199.

ViewSonic ViewPad 7e – This 7-inch touch screen tablet is great for surfing the web, reading e-books, gaming, youtube-ing, and multi-media entertainment. It runs on an Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and is so budget-friendly. Retail: $230

ViewSonic VT4210LED – 42-inch HD LCD TV
42″ Full HD TV (1920 x1080) has an “edge lit” LED screen, so it has stunning color and uses less energy. Watch TV or connect it to your PC and use it as your computer monitor. It has a 120 HZ screen refresh for crystal-clear fast moving sports viewing and gaming. Retail: $872

Thank you ViewSonic, La Prairie, Anastasia, Molton Brown, Archos, Vizio, and Biscotti TV for so generously donating items for the audience!
