Spa of the Month – The Spa at the Post Oak Hotel

Post Oak Hotel Spa -1

The Spa at the Post Oak Hotel is a luxury experience from beginning to end. The gender-specific locker rooms, co-ed quiet room and treatment rooms are spotless and well-appointed with just about everything you need from an outlet for phone charging in every locker to personal hygiene and grooming products in the dressing area to elegant beverages upon arrival and throughout the spa spaces. The spa staff is almost TOO attentive…ready in the wings to answer any questions, escort you through the facilities, immediately whisk away used towels and glasses and restock supplies.

During my visit in January, I had the Eternal Radiance facial ($190 plus tax and tip). Annette, the aesthetician, was everything I could want – professional, knowledgeable, warm, kind, gentle, attentive and answered my bazillion questions. My focus was hydrating dry skin and reducing age spots. I was also curious about whether lymphatic massage would help with under-eye puffiness. She customized the facial with extra hydration and added additional lymphatic massage to open up my congested lymphatic system. After the treatments, my face was soft, smooth, glowing. AND visibly thinner.

I arrived 2 ½ hours before the treatment to enjoy all the spa facilities. I ordered lunch when I checked in at the spa, so the meal would be ready when I was ready. The California Roll ($17 plus tax and tip) was made with real crab…fresh, unctuous and yummy! After unwinding in the steam room, sauna, whirlpool, massage chairs and quiet room…I was fully relaxed by facial time.
